Gary Potter is regarded as one of the greatest jazz and country guitarists in the
world. His playing is melodic, lyrical and imaginative. He is influenced by
players such as Django Reinhardt - Gary featured in the Channel 4 film
The Django Legacy - and Charlie Parker, yet his approach to playing jazz
guitar, both acoustic and amplified, is sufficiently original to give him an identity that is all his own.

Ian Shaw has been described as one of the most distinctive, original and
creative jazz singers on the scene, and a talented pianist and song writer.
He was voted 'Best Jazz Vocalist' at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2004 and
2007 and he is currently Artist In Residence at London's South Bank
Centre. Ian Shaw inspires a wide range of emotions, he can move to tears,
bring a smile; cause one to reflect on love, as with his most recent CD
Somewhere Towards Love. Ian has performed for Northants Contemporary
Jazz before, and is appearing again by popular request.

Cool Jazz are a creative jazz ensemble influenced by both traditional and
contemporary styles to create a smooth approach to jazz that is very pleasing
to the ear. The core of the ensemble consists of the vocals of Elaine Hatton,
accompanied by pianist Neil Riches, along with saxophone, bass and drums.
