The Simon Spillett Quartet
Simon Spillett has risen meteorically to become one of the most dynamic and distinctive tenor saxophonists on the UK jazz scene. His rhythm section features some of the finest UK artistes - Steve Melling, piano, Alec Dankworth, bass, and Clark Tracey, drums.
His driving, energised style is often compared favourably with the late great Tubby Hayes and his approach shares a similar love of dare-devil tempos and all-out, no-holds-barred, intensity.
